THE SECRERT PLACE BETWEEN ME AND YOU

I call through the flames of this mortal affliction

Blindness indeed

That's my conviction

This fire my correction.

You know the way that I take

And when I'm tried, I shall come forth as gold.

Lead me on gently

For there is solace in none.

The only light - that is You.

Your Word through the ages

Coming from behind me

And really within.

This cave in the wilderness

You are covered and revealed

A mystery unspoken, and words that conceal

To be or not to be

A choice to become

Already made on the alter of the Only Holy One.

That offers me hope

Truly God and Truly man.

Pierce my ears; belonging to You

Given life through correction

Your fires renew.
